Office of the Dean
The academic head of the faculty — teaching, departments, faculty appointments and academic quality.
Responsible for what is taught, and how well.
The Dean leads the faculty's academic work. The office allocates teaching across the departments, oversees the delivery of each course in the curriculum, arranges practical and field work, and is where a student or a teacher takes an academic problem that a department could not settle.
It also carries the quality side: reviewing course outlines before a semester begins, collecting student feedback on teaching, supporting faculty development, and taking curriculum revisions from the departments through to the Academic Council.
