A trainer leaves at the end of the day; a leaflet stays on the wall until the crop is in. The Directorate of Extension publishes the university's recommendations in short printed form — one crop or one operation at a time, in plain Nepali and Maithili, with the doses, dates and quantities a farmer needs written out rather than described.
Publications are distributed at training courses, demonstration field days and fairs, and through the agriculture knowledge centres and cooperatives of the districts.
