The rules framed under the Act — service conditions, finance, academic affairs and examinations.
The Act says what may be done; the regulations say how.
Regulations are framed by the university under the authority the Act gives it, and approved by the body the Act names. They are binding on the university, its staff and its students, and they are where most day-to-day questions are actually answered — how a post is advertised, how a bill is paid, how a grade is calculated, how an appeal is heard.
Where a regulation is amended, the amendment and the consolidated text are published together, so that a reader is not left comparing versions.

Getting the text
Approved regulations are published through the notice board as they come into force. For a certified copy, or to check which version applies to a particular case, contact the Office of the Registrar.
