The M.Sc. programme takes a graduate into one discipline in depth — crop science and its branches, plant protection, soil science, animal science or agricultural social science — with advanced coursework, seminar work and a research thesis carried out under a supervisor.
Thesis work is expected to sit inside the university's own research programme rather than beside it: a candidate takes an allocated plot in a season's trial, or a question raised by extension from the districts, so that the finding has somewhere to go once the degree is awarded.
The programme is being established as departments, laboratory capacity and supervisory strength come into place. Intake, disciplines open in a given session and eligibility are announced by admission notice.
