Articles
Written pieces on crops, livestock, soil and farm practice, by the people who work on them.
Long enough to be useful, short enough to be read.
An article sits between a research paper and a leaflet. It has more in it than a poster can carry — why a practice works, where it fails, what it costs — but it is written for a reader who has a farm or a class to get back to, not for a referee. The university publishes them so that what its staff know does not stay inside the departments.
Articles come from the faculty, from the research and extension directorates, and from postgraduate students writing out of their own field work. The ones written for a general reader are published on this site under Research; the rest are carried in the journal, the magazine and the extension bulletins.
