Decisions
Decisions of the Senate, the Executive Council and the Academic Council — the record of what was agreed.
Governance leaves a paper trail, and it should be public.
The university's governing bodies meet, decide and record. The Senate approves policy, plans and the annual budget; the Executive Council carries out the university's executive business; the Academic Council decides on programmes, curriculum and academic standards. Their decisions are the instrument that sets everything else in this section in motion.
Decisions that affect students, staff, applicants or the public — a fee, a calendar, a new programme, an appointment procedure — are published. Decisions concerning individual persons are not, because they contain personal information.
