Agricultural Training Centre
The base the university's extension training is run from — hall, practical shed and demonstration field.
A classroom is not much use without a field beside it.
The training centre is where the university's farmer courses, short-term courses and seasonal programmes are held. It is built for people who will be back on their land the same week, so the day is split: a session indoors on why a practice works, then the same practice done by hand on the demonstration field outside.
Training is delivered in Nepali and Maithili. Residential courses are arranged for participants travelling from other districts of Madhesh, and groups may request a course on a subject not on the published calendar.
Training hall
Classroom sessions with projection, for groups of farmers and technicians.
Practical shed
Hands-on work — grafting, seed treatment, grading, simple equipment.
Demonstration field
A standing crop beside the classroom, so the lesson can be walked into.
Residential facility
Accommodation for participants coming from other districts.
