Student's Corner
Where a student goes when the question is not about a course — hostels, scholarships, health, clubs and grievances.
Everything around the degree.
Most students at MAU come from farm households across Madhesh, and many are the first in their family to reach university. The student's corner exists for the part of that journey the syllabus does not cover — a hostel place, a scholarship form, a health problem in the middle of a semester, a dispute that needs somewhere to go.
It is run by the Directorate of Student Welfare, which administers hostel allocation and discipline, scholarship and student-support schemes, the campus health unit, sports and cultural activity, and the student clubs. The university's grievance channel sits here too: a complaint about harassment, discrimination or unfair treatment is received in confidence and taken forward.
