Directorate of Academic Affairs
The office that runs the university's degree programmes, from admission to the award of the degree.
Holding the academic calendar to its dates.
The Directorate of Academic Affairs is responsible for everything that turns a programme on paper into a taught degree: the entrance and admission cycle, the academic calendar, semester registration, teaching load across the departments, and the record of every student's progress through the programme.
It works with the Dean's Office on curriculum and teaching quality, and with the Office of the Controller of Examinations on assessment — the two ends of the same academic year. Decisions that change a programme's structure go to the Academic Council through this directorate.
